What We’re Looking For:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced School Nurse to support the health and wellbeing of our students. This is a full-time, weekday role—no shifts or nights.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • A recognised academic and professional nursing qualification from a tertiary institution

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar nursing role

  • Passion for working with children, combined with compassion and patience

  • Strong planning, organisational and administrative abilities

  • A calm and confident approach to problem-solving in emergencies

  • Excellent communication skills to engage with children, staff, and parents

  • Ability to deliver presentations and staff training sessions

  • Proficient computer skills

  • A clear criminal record is essential

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prevent the spread of infectious diseases across the school

  • Provide on-site assessment and care for sick or injured children

  • Communicate health concerns effectively with parents and healthcare providers

  • Track and manage medical records and physical development for each child

  • Deliver health training to staff (e.g. hygiene practices, handwashing, etc.)

  • Monitor school facilities for health and cleanliness

  • Promote health education with a focus on preventative care

  • Maintain clear and organised health documentation
